Riverkit, Silverkit, and Streamkit lay in their nest by their mother who was fast asleep. All three kits where wide awake listening to their mother's quiet breathing. Streamkit glanced around, "Coast clear" she whispered and scrambled smoothly out of the nest. Silverkit climbed out next and helped her brother out. Riverkit was blind but was perfectly capable of getting around without help but he let his sister help him anyways. The three kits crept through the nursery and padded out......and walked smack into another cat.

"Ahhhhhh......" Streamkit stammered but Silverkit jumped to her rescue, "We just need to go get some food for the elders, we want to listen to a story" she meowed quickly. Riverkit nodded looking at Rainpaw, even though he couldn't see her he could still sense where she was.

Streamkit smiled not sure if Rainpaw actually knew what they where up to or if she thought they where actually going to see the elders so she padded over to the freshkill pile and picked up a mouse and padded over to the log that was the elder den, Silverkit doing teh same. But Riverkit turned around and padded back over to Rainpaw, "Rainpaw, how is Dawncloud?" he asked a little worried still about the cold the medicine cat had gotten that morning.

Silverkit and Streamkit smiled at their brother as he distracted the medicine cat apprentice and the two dashed into the shadows of the camp and out the thorn tunnel. Riverkit bit his lower lip looking generally worried, "Can we check on her?" he asked.

Iceclaw was almost to camp when he saw Silverkit and Stramkit."What are you two doing out of camp?"He asked sternly. They knew they werent supposed to be out of camp.
