Revenge

Thorn lay on the ledge by teh window, his eyes narrowed in anger and annoyence. He was leader of Bloodclan now so he had to think what was best for his clan but anger was driving him to reckless ideas. His tail lashed twice and he sat up. I'll kill the cat responsible for Featherstep's and Amberpaw's escape he thought looking down on the bloodclan camp in the abandoned barn. I need to kidnap those two again, but how? They'll be ready and on teh lookout this time He looked up suddenly when he heard pawsteps nearing him.

"Something wrong Thorn?" Witch asked her crush and leader as she neared him.

Thorn glanced at his deputy and meowed, "I'm trying to figure out what best to do with the situation at hand." He turned around and looked at Witch, "Do you have any ideas?" he asked curiously. His amber brown eyes watched Witch with an amuzed sparkle. He had noticed that Witch had a crush on him and he had to admit, he liked her too but he didn't show it. He had grown to hate Featherstep and all teh other clans with such and intensity it almost scared him.

Witch closed her eyes and tought. "Why not steal them back. Amberpaw is a medicine cat apprentice so catch her gathering herbs. Featherstep should be leading patrols on her own so just catch her then. Why not catch Shiverstar too? She's a hunter, not a fighter. Besides, WindClan would be clueless with no leader or deputy."

Thorn smiled, "That sounds great but I'm not so sure about trying my luck with Shiverstar. She is a leader with 9 lives, but the other two would be easy" he said. His ears twitched and he glanced out the window where a gentle rain was begining to splatter the ground.

"I didn't say kill her. Keep her prisinor. WindClan wouldn't have a deputy, Medicine Cat apprentice, or leader then." Witch purred, eyes still closed.

Thorn smiled smugly, "Oh yes, that would be the sweetest revenge" he said softly. "Now how about we switch to happier matters. Care to go on a hunt?" he asked.

"Sure," Witch lifted her head and tried to hid the thrill of joy in her head. "I'm thinking ThunderClan territory."

Thorn smiled, "Thats exactly what I was thinking" he meowed and lept nimbly down from his perch by the window and onto the ground and waited for Witch to follow him.

Witch grinned slyly and slipped into his shadow. It had begun raining and the falling darkness of the clouds made no difference to their destination.

Thorn slunk smoothly through the undergrowth and slipped into Thunderclan territory. He smiled, "Keep your gaurd up, Thunderclan drove us off once, they will be suspecting another attack" he meowed softly. He was thinking about an idea on how to cause Thunderclan's downfall when an idea struck him, "Witch, what would you think if we send a Bloodclan warrior into Thunderclan to act as a rogue and join. Thunderclan is always taking in unfamiliar cats" he meowed smiling with triumph.

Witch purred,nodding.

Thorn thought for a momment then asked, "Do you have a cat in mind? Thistle or Scar where my first choices" he meowed and then crouched and lept for a vole that was scurrying around under a berry bush. He killed the vole with a swift bite to teh neck and then carried it over to Witch.

"Scar is only training so I'd say Thistle," Witch mewed.

Thorn nodded, "Very well, will you speak with him when we get back?" he asked. He glanced up abruptly when he heard the sound of paw steps rushing towards them. Thorn hissed and lept into a clump of yarrow bushes to disguise his sent.
